The End and The Beginning

So the trip has ended. We finished off the trip with a bang by taking part in the 7 Sunday services at FGAG.  The team did dramas, dances, testimonies, and Pastor Phil preached. It was incredibly rewarding to be able to be a part of such and alive and dynamic church, with people who are so hungry for a genuine relationship with God. After the Services we packed up, freshened up and headed to our goodbye dinner, which was quite lovely. We made our way to the airport (everybody fell asleep on the bus ride there) and said many tearful goodbyes. Each team made it back safely to the states.

So thus was the end of our trip. Looking back on all that happened, it is incredible to me that we were all a part of something so wonderful. We were able to forge new relationships, push ourselves to new limits, and learn new things about ourselves and our brothers and sisters in Christ.

One thing the Pastor Baker said that since the trip has resonated in my heart, is (and I am paraphrasing), we can soar on the mountain top like eagles, but we must also be able to know how to walk out our faith in our everyday lives. I think this is so fitting for this transition time after the trip, to be able to take the trip, to be able to take all that we learned and experienced in India and walk it out in our everyday lives. Though the trip has ended, it is the beginning of something new....
